Alongside Jemimah climbing upto Grade A, all-rounder Sneh Rana too earned a promotion, getting named in Grade B after featuring in Grade C the previous year. The bowling all-rounder was also a key cog in India’s title-winning Women’s World Cup 2025 side.
Shreyanka Patil missed out on a spot after being on the sidelines due to injury. She suffered a string of issues following her higly successful WPL 2025 season. The talented spinner fractured her finger during the Women’s Asia Cup 2024 and while she made a return for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 in October, she soon suffered Grade 3 shin splints in both legs, further ruling her out of action. Next, Shreyanka got a stress reaction in her wrist which also forced her to miss the WPL 2025 season and the subsequent ODI World Cup, eventually making a return in WCPL 2025.
Pooja Vastrakar too had been riddled with injuries, with her last India appearance coming in October 2024, in the T20 World Cup against Australia. She missed the WPL 2025 and was also not included in the Women’s World Cup 2025 squad. Furthermore, she underwent shoulder surgery last year and again suffered a hamstring injury prior to the WPL 2026 season this year.
Young fast bowler Titas Sadhu too have suffered a similar fate.
In the bid to continue promoting youngsters and building a strong pool of talent, Shree Charani, Gunalan Kamalini, Kashvee Gautam, Vaishnavi Sharma, Kranti Gaud and Tejal Hasabnis are amongst the new players to have earned their maiden Women’s BCCI Central Contract.
