Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) pacer Prince Yadav and Delhi Capitals (DC) batter Tristan Stubbs had a heated moment in the middle during the LSG vs DC clash in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2026) tonight (April 1). The incident happened on the penultimate ball of the fifth over of DC’s chase.
Incidentally, on the previous ball, the Proteas had hit the Indian speedster for a boundary. Prince came back strong with a fuller length delivery outside off as Stubbs leaned across and managed to defend it solidly.
Following the block, Prince Yadav walked all the way to the striker and stared down at the South African batter. Stubbs also returned the favour as the duo exchanged some words before turning their backs on each other.

Speaking about the LSG vs DC clash, a stellar bowling display from Lucknow’s domestic pacers Prince Yadav and Mohsin Khan in the powerplay kept their chances alive after their batters failed to do much. Being put to bat first by DC, LSG were bundled out for a subpar 141. Opener Mitchell Marsh’s 35 off 28 balls and Abdul Samad’s 36 off 25 lower down the order propelled the LSG scoreboard to give their bowlers something to fight with.
While the chase looked relatively easy, DC were sent on the backfoot early, losing four wickets within the powerplay. Out of the four, three were taken by Prince Yadav and Mohsin Khan, who bowled excellent first spells of 2/14 in 2 overs and 1/2 in 2 overs respectively as Delhi lost the key wickets of Pathum Nissanka (1) Nitish Rana (15) and Axar Patel (0).
However, Sameer Rizvi and Tristan Stubbs managed to make amends for the initial setback with a fifty-plus stand and are going strong as LSG bowlers hunt for another breakthrough.
At the time of writing this report, the DC scoreboard read 87/4 in 12.1 overs with Stubbs and Rizvi currently batting in the middle.
