Round 4 of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025/26 has seen numerous top performers shining again across matches all around India. Here’s a full roundup of top moments and performances.

Mayank Agarwal and Devdutt Padikkal hit marvellous centuries

Karnataka openers Mayank Agarwal and Devdutt Padikkal have shown their ruthless side against Pondicherry, smashing respective centuries. The two batters exploited a slightly below-par bowling attack to provide a perfect start to their team.

Agarwal eventually got out on 132 runs in 124 balls, including 15 boundaries and two maximums, at a strike rate of 106.45. He registered two fifties in the previous three games and finally got to his three figures on the fourth attempt.

Meanwhile, Padikkal hasn’t put a foot wrong in the tournament and played another fantastic knock from the top. The southpaw took 110 deliveries to reach the milestone and ended with 113 runs, with the help of 10 boundaries and four sixes, at a strike rate of 97.41.

Sarfaraz Khan cracks a tremendous century

Mumbai batter Sarfaraz Khan has literally been unstoppable with the bat and cracked another ton against Goa in the Vijay Hazare Trophy tournament. He scored 157 runs in 75 balls, including nine boundaries and 14 maximums, at a strike rate of 209.33.

He had also hit a fifty in his previous outing and was in top form in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as well. This run of form, especially his improved intent, will surely be noticed by the selectors.

Ruturaj Gaikwad boosts his List A record with another ton

Ruturaj Gaikwad was in top form against South Africa and has continued his good work in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Playing against Uttarakhand, he completed his ton at a quick rate and scored 124 runs in 113 balls, including 12 boundaries and three maximums, at No.4.

Vijay Shankar scores 91, Deepak Hooda plays a fine 86-run knock

Vijay Shankar scored 91 runs in 98 balls, including four boundaries, at a strike rate of 92.86. He was the best batter in his team and finally bounced back after two low scores in three outings in the tournament before.

Deepak Hooda batted at No.4 and cracked a century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy fixture against Kerala. He came to the crease when Rajasthan lost two wickets inside seven overs and counterattacked to put the pressure back on the opponent.

Hooda scored 86 runs in 83 balls, comprising four boundaries and six maximums, at a strike rate of 103.61. He would be gutted not to convert it into three digits since he was going so well before a dismissal against the run of play.

Prabhsimran Singh, Anmolpreet Singh, and Naman Dhir score fifties for Punjab

Chasing 222, Punjab didn’t get a good start, losing two wickets inside five balls. However, Prabhsimran Singh and Anmolpreet Singh weaved a timely partnership to put them on track to chase down the total.

Prabhsimran scored 84 runs in 84 balls, including 11 boundaries, at a strike rate of 100. He could have completed a three-figure mark, but got out before achieving the milestone.

Meanwhile, Anmolpreet also played a fine 72-run knock, comprising six boundaries, at a strike rate of 86.75. Like Prabhsimran, he also had a chance to get a century but departed after playing so well under pressure.

Naman Dhir completed the remaining job with a quickfire 50, where he hit as many as five maximums. The three ensured Punjab chased down the total inside 37 overs, even after losing two early wickets.

Krunal Pandya notches a counterattacking ton, Aryan Juyal scores 150

Krunal Pandya promoted himself to No.3 and put on a batting masterclass. He scored an unbeaten 109 in just 63 balls, including 18 boundaries and a maximum, at a strike rate of 173.02 in the Vijay Hazare fixture between Baroda vs Hyderabad.

Baroda openers had provided a fine start, and his knock ensured the team posted a massive 417/4 in the first innings. Later, he bowled an economical spell of 10-0-59-0 when all other bowlers conceded more than six runs per over from either side.

Meanwhile, Aryan Juyal has hardly done anything wrong in the domestic season and was again at his best against Assam. While opening the innings, Juyal scored 150 runs in 140 balls, comprising 15 boundaries and three maximums, at a strike rate of 107.14.

Venkatesh Iyer shines with the ball

Venkatesh Iyer proved his utility with the ball in the Vijay Hazare Trophy fixture between Madhya Pradesh and Tripura. He took four wickets for 44 runs at an economy rate of 4.40 in his 10-over spell.

Venkatesh dismissed big batters like Tejasvi Jaiswal and Vijay Shankar to restrict Tripura to 286/7. RCB would be pleased to see his improvement as a bowler and will look to use him as an all-rounder next season.

Akash Deep and Mukesh Kumar take four wickets each

Bengal pacers Akash Deep and Mukesh Kumar wreaked havoc against Jammu and Kashmir. Deep took 32 runs at an economy rate of 3.69 in his eight overs, dismissing big batters like Murugan Ashwin and Abdul Samad.

Meanwhile, Mukesh Kumar performed even better, with four wickets for 16 runs in six overs. His spell completely broke the batting lineup of Jammu and Kashmir, and they bundled on a mere 63.

Anshul Kamboj and Hrithik Shokeen also dismiss four batters

Haryana pacer Anshul Kamboj was another top bowling performer with the ball and delivered a sensational spell against Services. In his first seven overs, Kamboj took four wickets for 19 runs, dismissing batters like Sagar Dahiya and Ravi Chauhan, and ended with figures of 10-1-43-4.

Meanwhile, Delhi spinner Hrithik Shokeen also bowled exceptionally well against Odisha. Shokeen registered four wickets for 27 runs in 10 overs to put Delhi in front in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Vipraj Nigam takes four wickets, Zeeshan Ansari gets three for Uttar Pradesh

Vipraj Nigam was unplayable for Assam batters, taking four wickets for 66 runs in 9.4 overs with the ball. The batters tried to hit him and kept losing wickets one after another, as his spell ensured Assam were restricted to 308 when they could have scored a lot more.

Zeeshan Ansari has been in top form in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy and bowled another magnificent spell against Assam. The spinner took three wickets for 60 runs at an economy rate of 6 in 10 overs.

Mohammed Shami grabs two scalps

As if Akash Deep and Mukesh Kumar’s spells weren’t enough, Mohammed Shami did the remaining job by dismissing two big batters. His figures read: 6-2-14-2.

Musheer Khan, Karun Nair, and Ravi Singh hit fifties

For Mumbai, Musheer Khan has continued his good form, hitting another half-century against Goa. He scored 60 runs in 66 balls, including five boundaries and two maximums, at a strike rate of 90.91.

After Mayank Agarwal and Devdutt Paddikal departed on big scores, Karun Nair picked up and continued tormenting Pondecherry bowlers. He remained unbeaten on 62 in 34 balls, including four boundaries and as many maximums, at a strike rate of 182.35.

Newly-recruited Rajasthan Royals (RR) batter Ravi Singh has been unstoppable with the bat and notched up another fifty for Railways. He scored 72 runs in 69 deliveries, with the help of nine boundaries and three maximums, at a strike rate of 104.35 to put his team on the verge of a win.

Nitish Kumar Reddy, Rishabh Pant, and Yashasvi Jaiswal get out after getting starts

Andhra all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy had a start and scored 30 before losing his wicket in the 29th over when his team needed a big knock. He wasn’t too effective with the ball either, conceding 59 runs in 10 overs while taking a solitary wicket.

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant also started well but lost his wicket before getting a big score. The southpaw accumulated 24 runs in 28 balls, including three boundaries and a maximum, and wasting such chances won’t help him press a case for an ODI spot.

Yashasvi Jaiswal had a start but failed to translate it into a big score. The southpaw got out on 46 in 64 balls, with six boundaries, at a strike rate of 71.88.
