She played a match-winning knock of 64 not out.
Harleen Deol has showcased a scorching-hot form so far in her innings during the ongoing MI vs UPW clash. As per the latest WPL 2026 news, the UP Warriorz player became just the second batter in the league’s history to get retired out in last night’s fixture against the Delhi Capitals (DC).
Deol was batting at 47 off 36 balls as the management decided to replace her with Chloe Tryon before the final three overs of the first innings.
However, the right-hander swiftly bounced back from the setback to start off her innings against the Mumbai Indians with three successive fours. She scored an electrifying 64 not out off only 39 deliveries, which included a total of 12 boundaries.
Deol was also adjudged the Player of the Match award for single-handedly changing the game’s momentum after three near run-a-ball knocks at the top order. Tryon, who failed to finish the job last night, also returned with an unbeaten 27 off 11 balls, at a blazing strike rate of 245.45.

The Warriorz had opted for a major overhaul in their squad, which saw only one retention ahead of the first mega auction of the league. But that did not bring in any change in the team’s results as they began the WPL 2026 with a hattrick of defeats.
However, after two close losses facing the Gujarat Giants (GG) and MI and a thumping defeat against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), the side is finally back to winning ways. Though Meg Lanning and Co. are still placed at the bottom of the WPL 2026 points table, a seven-wicket victory against the defending champions tonight has added two crucial points in their bag.
This has also helped the Warriorz to improve their net run rate, which might become the deciding factor for the playoff qualifications later in the tournament.
