The semi-finals of the Ranji Trophy 2025–26 season have started with two matches: Uttarakhand vs Karnataka and Bengal vs Jammu and Kashmir. Let’s take a look at the full round-up of Ranji Trophy 2025–26 Semi-Finals Day 1.

KL Rahul and Devdutt Padikkal Centuries Put Karnataka on Top in Uttarakhand vs Karnataka Ranji Trophy 2025-26 Semi-Final

KL Rahul and Devdutt Padikkal scored centuries in the semi-final between Uttarakhand and Karnataka at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

Karnataka lost the early wicket of Mayank Agarwal while batting first, but Rahul and Padikkal brought the team back into the game with their brilliant partnership, as both scored hundreds.

KL Rahul’s innings ended at 141 off 211 balls, including 11 fours and five sixes. Captain Devdutt Padikkal remained not out on 148 off 236 balls, with 16 fours and two sixes, as Karnataka finished Day 1 at 355/2.

After the India vs New Zealand series, KL Rahul returned to play the Round 7 and knockout matches for Karnataka. In the Round 7 match against Punjab, he scored a half-century. He then scored a century in the quarter-final against Mumbai and followed it up with another century in the semi-final against Uttarakhand. So, he has been in very good form.

Meanwhile, Devdutt Padikkal has also had a strong season. In nine innings, he has scored two centuries and one half-century. He has 448 runs at an average of 64.00.

Auqib Nabi Leads the Charge with Two Wickets in Bengal vs J&K Ranji Trophy 2025-26

In the semi-final between Bengal and Jammu and Kashmir, Auqib Nabi representing J&K took two wickets.

Auqib had bowled 18 overs, given away 48 runs, and picked up two wickets. In this season, he has taken 48 wickets in 15 innings, including one four-wicket haul and five five-wicket hauls. As of now, he is currently second on the wicket-takers list.

For Bengal in the first innings, Sudip Kumar Gharami scored a brilliant century to keep his team in the game. At the end of Day 1 stumps, he was unbeaten on 136 off 227 balls, including 19 fours and one six.

He has been in excellent form. In the quarter-final against Andhra Pradesh, he scored 299 off 596 balls as Bengal won the match by an innings and 90 runs.
