Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) pacer Yash Dayal is set to miss IPL 2026 due to personal reasons.
In a press conference, RCB Director of Cricket Mo Bobat revealed that Yash Dayal will not be available for IPL 2026 because of personal issues.
“He’s going through a personal situation. He remains under contract,” Mo Bobat said.
The pacer is going through legal proceedings related to sexual offence allegations. He is still under investigation, and due to the seriousness of the case, he will not take part in this edition.

He played an important role for RCB in IPL 2025, where they won the title. Yash took 13 wickets in 15 matches and had an economy rate of 9.59.
Before that, in IPL 2024, he took 15 wickets in 14 matches. So, he has been one of their key contributors in the past two seasons.
They have Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who will be in the playing XI, but they will need to find another Indian pacer to include in the team. They have players like Rasikh Dar and Abhinandan Singh on the bench. Also, with Josh Hazlewood missing the initial matches, RCB will have to find a solution.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru will start their IPL 2026 campaign with a new season. They will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in the opening match of the tournament.
The match will be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on March 28. They will play five home matches in Bengaluru and the remaining two in Raipur.
